This crystal radio or modern version of the germanium diode galena radio (of any type) was found in a 1967 Japanese technical magazine. The circuit requires the use of a crystal or ceramic phone and a long antenna is important to have good listening. The coil can have 80 to 100 turns of wire 28 to 32 in a ferrite rod.
