The battery charger shown in the figure uses two 60 W incandescent bulbs in series to limit the current. More can be used for higher current and the transformer must have a secondary current of 3 to 5 A. We do not recommend the original 100 W lamps, as they are no longer manufactured. The secondary voltage of the transformer is 6 or 12 V depending on the battery.
