This circuit was originally published in a 1966 book from Spain. The circuit uses a general-purpose germanium transistor and for the 14 MHz band the coil is formed by 14 turns of 0.7 mm wire in the form of 24 mm in diameter. The source consists of 1 to 3 standard batteries and the instrument is a 0-1 mA milliammeter. The antenna is of the telescopic type. The coil can be changed for operation in other frequency ranges.
