This full-wave dimmer was found in 1976 documentation from RCA that manufactured the indicated SCR. The circuit can, however, be implemented with a SCR TIC106 for currents up to 3 A (300 W at 110 V), without problems. The bridge diodes can be 1N4004 for currents up to 1 A and 1N5404 for larger currents. Capacitor C1 can be 220nF. The SCR must be mounted on a heat radiator. Use this circuit only with incandescent lamps.
