This control from a 1989 publication can be assembled with several equivalent components. The SCR, for example, can be the TIC106. Transistor Q1 can be BF245 and Q2 can be BC548. The diode bridge can be formed by 1N5404 diodes and the transformer can have 17 to 20 V of secondary voltage. The SCR must be mounted on a heat radiator. The other components are common.
