We found this version of the siren that makes the American police siren sound in a 1980 publication. Transistor Q1 can be a BC548 and Q2 must be mounted on a heat radiator. Diodes support equivalents such as 1N4002. Minor changes to R1 and R4 may be necessary to compensate for their tolerances.
