The width of the pulses produced by the oscillator in the figure is determined by the value of R1, which can be between 1k ohms and 100k ohms. Pulse separation is set at the 1 M ohm trimpot. The final frequency of the circuit, as well as the previous parameters, also depends on capacitor C. The maximum operating frequency of this circuit is of the order of 4 MHz for a supply of 10 volts. The circuit can operate with supply voltages from 3 to 15 volts.
