The circuits shown in figure 2 are suggested by Texas Instruments (www.ti.com) make use of the integrated circuit TPA3121D2. Readers interested in more details can download the component's datasheet from the company's website. The first stereo amplifier presented provides a power of 15 W per channel and can operate with power voltages from 10 V to 26 V. With 22 V of power and 4 ohms load the output power per channel is 15 W, but it can be configured in the mono version (BTL) with an output power of 30 W under load of 8 ohms. The circuit for the BTL configuration is shown below. The amplifier presented also has features for 4 selectable gains, thermal protection and against short circuit. The high performance means that it does not need a heat sink.
