When the temperature rises above the value adjusted by P1 the relay triggers on. The rated voltage for the relay must be 2 V above the power supply voltage. This is necessary to compensate the voltage fall of 2 V when the SCR is on. Any NTC with 20 to 100 k ohm on the ambient temperature can be used.
