This simple transistor tester uses a common 3 mA analog instrument that has its scale changed as shown in the figure itself. We found this circuit in a 1995 documentation. It serves to test both NPN and PNP transistors and is powered by two sets of 2 batteries. The circuit also tests old germanium transistors.
