This 1992 documentation circuit was originally designed to operate with incandescent lamps. The circuit consists of an astable that fires two SCRs alternately. The frequency of alternating activation is given by the capacitors. The circuit can be adapted to operate on the 110 V network, by simply increasing the capacitor from 470 nF to 1 uF.
