This crystal Pierce oscillator can employ any more modern FET like the MPF102 or BF245. The maximum frequency is about 30 MHz and the power can be supplied by voltages from 6 to 9 V. The circuit is from Motorola documentation from 1976. The circuit consumption is very low, of the order of 2 mA only.
