This circuit is from an old American publication from 1970, but it can be assembled with a BF494 for the transistor and the audio amplifier stage can be replaced by more modern ICs like the TDA7052 or even an LM386. The circuit tunes in the range of 130 to 160 MHz, or close according to the coils. The antenna can be external or telescopic. The use of a power source is recommended. In the original circuit T1 and T2 are transformers taken advantage of old transistor radios.
