We found this touch switch in a 1992 Electronics Handbook. The circuit can be assembled with 6 or 12 V relays, changing the supply to this voltage. The transistor emitter must be connected to the positive, which was missing in the original publication layout. The FET can be a BF245 or MPF102. Never supply this circuit with a source without a transformer, for safety reasons.
