This circuit was obtained in an old 1983 magazine, but it can still be easily assembled. The operational amplifier can be the 741 or another, powered by a symmetrical source. The maximum input frequency depends on the amplifier, but it is no more than about 100 kHz in most cases. The diodes can also be 1N4148.
