This ultra-simple meter uses an output transformer and a small speaker as a microphone. The circuit is not very sensitive and only serves for great intensities of sound. The instrument is a 50 uA to 200 uA full-scale microammeter and the diode must be germanium. The trimpot adjusts the scale. The pot may have a commercial value of 10 k.
