This circuit can be used as a shield to control the matrix flow of 100 LEDs from a single output of a microcontroller. The integrated circuit is the 74LH4017, but for simpler applications with voltage logic from 3 to 12 V, the 4017 CMOS can be used. The circuit is from 1996 documentation and the transistors can be the BC548.
