In the previous circuit (CB15632E) the steps just go up. To obtain ascending and descending cycles for the generated signal, we have the circuit shown in the figure. This circuit uses the four amplifiers contained in the LM3900. The first amplifier is used as a pulse generator, while the second is used as an integrator. At the same time, we have the production of the reset pulses by the two other amplifiers, when the level of the output signal reaches the pre-determined maximum for the application.
