This small source is suitable for low consumption equipment that uses batteries. The circuit is from an old publication and the transistor may be the BC548. Other voltages can be obtained with the zener hole and change of secondary transformer. The transformer current can be 100 mA or more, as desired at the output. For BC548 the maximum recommended current is 100 mA.
