This somewhat unusual configuration, mainly in the form of adjustment, is from a 1978 publication. The original transistors are made of germanium, but types of silicon can be used with possible changes in resistors, such as the BC558. The transformers are of the driver type and transistor radios output of the time and the supply can be done with voltages in the range of 6 to 1 2 V.
