Found in a 1995 Hands-On Electronics, this circuit generates a sinusoidal signal whose frequency depends on C1 and C2. See in the math section for electronics how to calculate these components as well as R1 and R2 for other frequency ranges. The power can be between 6 and 12 V. The FET can be the MPF102 or BF245 and other operational ones can be used. The amplitude of the output signal depends on the supply voltage.
