The frequency of the signal produced by this circuit depends on the temperature of the diode used as a sensor. Q1 can be a BC548, Q2 a BC558 and the sensor can be 1N4148 or any general-purpose diode. The circuit also works with voltages of 6 V or 12 V. The circuit is from a 1978 publication. The basic frequency depends on the capacitor.
