This simple amplifier stage with a transistor has a linear response from 25 Hz to 120 kHz. The transistor can be the BC548 or others in the same series. The circuit works as an excellent audio preamplifier. The voltage gain is approximately 50 times. We found this circuit in an English magazine from 1980.
