Avago Technologies (www.avago.com) suggests the circuit in figure 1 for amplifying signals of 1.575 GHz (GPS range), using its new component, the ALM-1612 integrated circuit. This circuit has a very low noise figure, on the order of 0.95 dB (tip) and a gain of 18.2 dB (tip).
