We found this 555 integrated-circuit tester in an old Electronics Hobbyst from 1977. The circuit is still current and can also be powered with 6 V. If the 555 under test is good, the LEDs will flash alternately. Simple assembly can be done on a contact matrix or on a plate with a socket to fit the 555 under test.
