This power source was found in an old Argentine publication from 1973. The transistor could be the BC558. The diodes can be 1N4002 and the transformer has a 9V secondary winding with 50 mA or more. The 20mA indicator lamp does not light at maximum brightness and is optional. The circuit has no regulation, and the resistor is 1k. Capacitors can have values of 2,200uF and 470uF in place of the original non-standard values currently.
