This circuit turns on incandescent lamps (do not use any other type) when it gets dark. The circuit was found in a 1980 publication and works with Triacs of the TIC series. The triac must have a heat radiator and the sensor is a common LDR. L1 consists of 20 turns of wire 18 or 20 in a ferrite rod.
