The sensor in this circuit is a common transistor like the BC548. The circuit is from a 1979 publication but can be easily implemented with BC548 transistors. The 12 to 15 V power supply must be supplied by a source with a current between 50 and 100 mA. The full scale adjustment is done in the trimpots.
