The purpose of this circuit is to keep an engine speed constant. The circuit was found in a 1989 publication. It can be assembled with a TIP42 for Q1 and BC548 for Q2 controlling motors up to about 2 A. Q1 must be equipped with a heat radiator. The diodes can be 1N4002 and in the original version the setting is being indicated for a constant current of 100 mA. For this current value, Q1 can be a BD136.
