This is a traditional audio amplifier configuration with complementary Darlington transistors. The power supply transformer must be 30V x 2.5A and requires rectification and filtering only. The circuit requires a well-planned layout given the currents and presence of signals. The output transistors must be equipped with excellent heat sinks. We found the circuit in a 1984 publication. The input sensitivity is 350mV and the resting current 40 mA with a response from 10 Hz to 80kHz and distortion of only 0.05%.
