We found this circuit on Radio Electronics from July 1990. It triggers a relay with a touch of the sensor. The circuit must not be powered by a source without a transformer. The relay is 12 V with a maximum of 100 mA of coil current. The transistors can be the BC548. The sensor is a small plate or wire tip to be touched with your fingers. Do not use long wires up to the sensor.
