We found this circuit in an English publication in 1982, but it can still be easily assembled by the components it uses. The supply can be done with voltages from 9 to 12 V and the speed of the effect is adjusted in RV1. We suggest limiting the current of the LEDs with a resistor from 270-ohm to 470-ohm in series with the earth terminal.
