This circuit was obtained in a 1991 Electronics Handbook. The publication no longer exists, but this circuit is still useful and can generate a negative voltage for polarizing circuits, such as A / D converters or analog switches (4066, for example). The output voltage depends on the input voltage and is normally the same value as the supply.
