This circuit is from a publication from the 1970s. When the cell, a large type LDR receives light, the relay is activated, and the electromechanical timer (motor) starts operating. R1 is wire and the voltage relay between 48 V and 120 V sensitive. The circuit does not need the transformer if it is powered directly by the 110 V network.
