This circuit for a high-power semiconductor LASER was obtained from a 1991 Poptronics. The Q1 power transistor can be a high voltage transistor with at least 200 V of heatsink mounted VCE and the transformer has a secondary current of 100 mA or more. The powered Laser can be of equivalent type and Q2 can be a BC547.
