This circuit can be used to control loads up to 500 mA from the outputs of microcontrollers such as the Arduino, PIC or MSP430. 5 V or 3.3 V signals can drive the circuit. For loads up to 2 A the BD136 can be replaced by a TIP31 or TIP41. This transistor must me mounted on a heatsink.
